In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Bishop Dr. Daniel Muwanga, Overseer of Kimaka Faith Fellowship Ministries International, has congratulated His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his resounding victory in the just concluded presidential elections.

In his message, Bishop Dr. Muwanga prayed for God’s blessings, wisdom, guidance, and strength for President Museveni as he continues to lead the nation.

He also extended his congratulations to the First Lady who doubles as the Education and Sports Minister Maama Janet Kataha Museveni and the entire NRM team for their tireless efforts and dedication.

Bishop Dr. Muwanga urged all Ugandans to prioritize peace, stability, and unity as they celebrate the victory.

“…Let us work together to build a nation that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all, May the principles of integrity, compassion, and justice guide us as we move forward…”, he appeals.

The bishop also has a word of encouragement for those who did not win, urging them not to be disheartened.

“…Losing in a political race doesn’t mean the end of the world, even in the Holy Bible, we read about many people who faced setbacks and losses, but at the appointed time, God lifted them high. Let us avoid bitterness and anger, and instead, let us use this experience as an opportunity to grow, reflect, and come back stronger…”, the charismatic Pentecostal prelate counsels.

Bishop Dr. Muwanga also draws inspiration from the world of sports, where opponents often shake hands and exchange jerseys after a match, regardless of the outcome.

He calls on Ugandans: “…Let us borrow a leaf from the soccer world, where both parties shake hands and occasionally exchange jerseys, even when one side has lost, let us show the world that we can disagree without being disagreeable, and that we can accept the outcome of the elections with dignity and humility.”

The bishop concludes by appealing to all leaders and citizens to join hands in promoting peace, love, and development.

“…We should all speak with one voice and work towards a brighter future for our motherland Uganda, may God bless Uganda and guide us all as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead…”

The message has been widely welcomed by Ugandans from all walks of life, who are eager to move forward and build a better future for themselves and their country.

Bishop Dr. Daniel Muwanga also draws an analogy between life and politics, citing the recent Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final between Senegal and Morocco.

In the dying minutes of the game, Senegal’s players known as the Terenga Lions had walked off the pitch in protest over a penalty decision, but Sadio Mane who plays for Al Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia intervened, rallying his teammates to return to the field.

Despite Morocco’s expected win, Brahim Diaz who plays for real Madrid missed the crucial penalty after trying a Panenka-style kick which was saved by Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy Diaz, and Senegal ultimately won the game 1-0 in extra time.

Bishop Dr. Muwanga uses this example to illustrate the unpredictability of life and politics, suggesting that even when it seems like all hope is lost, a turnaround can occur.

This message comes as he congratulates President Yoweri Museveni on his re-election victory, urging all Ugandans to prioritize peace, stability, and unity.

In a developing country like Uganda, where the economy continues to grow and progress, messages like the one delivered by Bishop Dr. Daniel Muwanga are crucial in promoting peace, unity, and stability.

As the country looks to consolidate its gains and attract more investors, it’s essential that all stakeholders, including political leaders, citizens, and religious leaders, work together to create a conducive environment for growth and development.

The bishop’s message is particularly important in the aftermath of the elections, where tensions can run high, and divisions can easily emerge.

By urging Ugandans to prioritize peace, stability, and unity, Bishop Dr. Muwanga is reminding citizens of the importance of maintaining a sense of national cohesion and avoiding actions that could undermine the country’s progress.

As the saying goes, “it takes decades to build a city, but minutes to destroy it.” This phrase underscores the importance of responsible leadership and citizenship.

It takes years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice to build a nation, but it can take just a single reckless statement or action to undo all that has been achieved.

Ugandans would do well to heed the bishop’s message and strive to build a nation that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all.

In the words of Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

Bishop Muwanga is asking Ugandans strive to do better, to build a better Uganda, and to create a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.

As a final note, the words of a wise man should come to mind: “A single match can ignite a forest fire, and a single word can destroy a nation.

Ugandans, especially political leaders should choose their words wisely, and learn to work together to build a nation that is strong, united, and prosperous for all.
